To Be A Mother Oh to be a Mother, and the joy that it can bring, Awaking each morning as your birds begin to sing. What am I to wear to school so the other kids don’t laugh, “And Mom, please do not forget to cut my sandwich in half”. Did you get your homework done? Or do we still have work to do? No, you will not stay home today; you’ll go and see it through! You rush them now to go out the door and see them on their way, But something is forgotten, we mustn’t forget to pray. Kneeling in the living room now a prayer we say, Asking the Lord to watch over them and bless them through the day. Now you are off and running, you have many things to do, Piles of laundry, dishes, and beds to make anew. Tasks being accomplished as pictures, now you face, Of children, who once were small, you never could replace. Now as you go about your day, a smile in your heart, Grateful of these blessed gifts, that someday will depart. Make the most of every day and make every second count! The values you teach your children will be of the greatest amount. A Mother is the greatest example in teaching children to live, And showing them compassion, and how, of their selves to give. So, think before beginning to speak and remember in your mind, The things you teach your children, they will never leave behind! |

Hello Debbie Your words were filled with many wisdoms and I could relate so very well as I have a 9 year old daughter. So true it is that we must teach them well as the world can be such a daunting place at times. I really enjoyed your words, thank you. Take care....Sue Suetang |
