~Not Easy~ It’s easy to have credit when you’re wealthy Easy to live well when you have money Easy to rule when you hold the reigns Or to be clever if you have the brains Very easy to love when all is going well But not easy when you find yourself in hell It’s hard to feel love when you’re on the floor Hard to be happy when you feel so sore It’s easy to teach when you’re in a school Or obey guidelines when you know the rule Easy to do right when the way is clear Or to hold someone when they’re really near There’s no effort in being close and true Not when the one you love also loves you But it’s not easy when the air turns chill Not at all simple when you’ve lost your will It’s easy to speak when you have a voice Easy to choose when you have a choice Simple to do what you think is right Easy to see the good guy wearing white But it’s not easy to tear your heart in two Not simple to lose a love that’s true It’s not very easy to walk away from this Nor easy to fade the memories of your kiss It’s easy to love when you feel it inside Easy to give the love you can’t hide But it’s not easy to shut your heart’s door Not easy to accept its not there anymore Not simple to feel your life break apart Nor easy to lose the love in your heart It’s not easy to feel the ice freezing you Not easy to stop myself always loving you Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 [This message has been edited by Marsha (05-14-2002 10:22 PM).] |
