The sea soothed the mind As whispers intertwined With the winds caressing To soothe the character The moon reflections Bounced within in brilliance That self analysis smiled In the intensity of comfort The warm breathe of salt breezes Tasted the spirit of wildness Rusting the iron fortress Of conformity Bare feet that escaped confinement Rustled with the grains of independence Each piece unique Until molded by water The lost horizon Seeks you out like a bottle With a cork in it Stating your purpose Casting a line like you were fishing You throw an invisible wish out Hoping to trap this feeling In the lure of internal peace So relaxed you melt into endless ecstasy That releases your spirit To fly with wings that span the universe Among the stars of mystery The sunrise takes away part of the show And in the horizon I see you coming To join me in my isolation In a cuddle that ripples threw me Together we feel Together we join In the sand claiming both of us In such power we mold into one As the waves awake In the tide withdrawing Hand in hand we retreat Leaving a lasting impression Email me at [email protected] D.Lester Young (05/12/02) Tuscaloosa, AL Copyright © D.Lester Young (White Eagle poetry) http://www.authorsden.com/visit/author.asp?AuthorID=5012 |
