Standing in line
At the pearly gates
By the look of this line
I've got quite a wait.

St. Peter's interviews
Short but sweet
Is patience a virtue?
Gotta stay upbeat.

Mother Teresea
In front of me
We're now at the door
My heart's at my knees

Now you know how I am
Justa  lowly Toerag
Ain't been no angel
But not terribly bad?

Then St. Peter says
To Teresea the Nun:
"You couldda' done more,
Before you were done."

Now being the Toerag
You all know I've been
If he said that to the "Mother"
He ain't lettin' me in!!!

If you feel scared next to Mother Theresa
Think how we all feel next to you!
For though you tease and lack patience (*S*)
St. Peter knows you through and through.
I have no doubt you'll be welcomed
(If anything in life is fair)
Those gates will swing open and you will find
Your loved ones all waiting there.
There are a few smudges on your life's page
But a finer man's not to be found!
When your time on this earth is done
Dear Toe, you'll be heaven bound!

Smooch, sweets... I like this very much. *S* And the Mother couldn't help coming up a bit short. *S* Her tiny stature couldn't hold a heart as big as yours. *S*

Something tells me
you'll be late
getting up to
Heaven's gate
but when St. Peter
reads the roll
he'll know we're there
we've done the toll

Even Toe, rascal you,
will get your pearly due...

Toerag darling boy this is utterly divine I love it, you always seem to be able to write the moment. This made me smile, and if you don’t get in I haven’t got a cat in hells chance. I might as well give up now. What I did to get such a rep I haven’t got a clue, but no matter how often I say I’m innocent no one believes me

Simply fabulous really well written, I really did enjoy this one

When you say I look like a fox, does that mean you think I look like Basil Brush?

Love and warm stuff
As always

Ha, ha, but St Peter would have higher expectations for the good sister, yes?

Toe, I expect you've done plenty of good things in this lifetime, my dear.

Mr.Toe...I am sure that your good deeds, far outweigh those of Mother Theresa...
afterall, you make people laugh and laughter is the most important medicine in the world.

So, you see...you have probably healed a lot of souls in your time...don't worry, Mr. Toe...they'll let you in but not until you send me the picture you promised me!
