Gray skies surround the moon of full dim is the glow of night filled skies Feelings strong of this lunar pull quiet surrounds, a lost bird cries Short hairs raise a chill on the back when crickets still a mating call as shadows fade into the black from cloud’s blanket over the ball A single hoo-hoo from an owl unanswered by a sleeping mate A stench off the moor smelling fowl slow creak of a distant iron gate. Flickering flames casting shadows against the dark of lonely night sitting breathless, hugging pillows wide eyes in wait of a fright. A crunch of leaves and crack of twig heart stopping sounds from over there Oh, now I wish I weren’t so big I just wet my pants, I do swear. Running fast, the heart now racing Into the house, slamming the door Ain't gonna look, see what's chasing whispering softly...nevermore [This message has been edited by Magnus (05-11-2002 08:53 PM).] |

Magnus Hi there it’s Emma here I’m the youngest of Mushy’s daughters. I’ve been trying to join for weeks but not been able too and now I can so I did. Mum will now have to wait her turn patiently. As I’ve had to do for weeks while Krissy has been having fun in the forum. I definitely don’t write poems. I have been an admirer of your writing for simply ages and have finally got the chance to say how much I do love it. Your writing has a mystical quality something very special about it. You are a very good writer. lots of love Emma Eternity, stands laughing at old time |

Hi Emma, Nice seeing you here at Passions.... Your Mum must not be getting any time on her computer now.... But that is OK, for a little while...I can see that she has taught her daughters well how to be polite...and so much more that will be a pleasure seeing here within the blue walls of PiP... Now...you just need to work on your first poem...and then we can say there are three poets in the house!!!! |

Lyra, I started this poem out in about three directions and didn't have a clue where it was headed until about half way through it.... I was thinking of Poe....and sort of went off on a "dark" tangent... Hugs to you!! |

Magnus darling boy oh my goodness this is utterly utterly superb, hah I’m glad Emma has finally gone home and I can get to write on this. Don’t encourage her please, as if I don’t have to fight my eldest daughter for my computer I now have to fight the youngest. Don’t encourage her to write poetry for goodness sake. As always this is seriously good writing. Not that your normal writing isn’t perfection you know it is. But….. Oh how fresh and vibrant this is. I swear I can see you in this vignette. Well done darling boy utterly utterly well done. I really love this from you, write more please, much much more Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

I had to read this to see what it was about. I thought maybe you had taped the sounds my body makes when I wake up in the morning! Fortunately, I found a very well-done poem instead |

LOL! I've often wondered why we used the phrase "getting a haircut" when, obviously, more than one is being cut. In your case, I understand... |
