tonight, tonight he sleeps somewhere upper side: Manhattan 3 a.m. green midnights fresh flowers of color, vases in naked thoughts yet: I no longer have faith of feeling him -- taunting his salty lips for a taste of redemption erotic, -- ecstasy it could never be enough to see his eyelids close get lost there,-- there close again among nights of love slipping, shifting, crashing in forms ocean waves-- rebirthing my soul the earth could tilt breaking dust from mountains; spreading it like wild fires pushing clouds upward to heavens view for how my hands fumble --this feeling somewhere-- somewhere he is missing me as parted lips feel moisture rain I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings Could I have been anyone other than me? True poems rest between the words [This message has been edited by Greeneyes (05-12-2002 08:55 PM).] |

the earth could tilt breaking dust from mountains; spreading it like wild fires pushing clouds upward to heavens view for how my hands fumble --this feeling somewhere-- somewhere he is missing me as parted lips feel moisture rain ======================== the pure unadulterated need of this ...is breathtaking... makes me believe that one could literally "walk on those lips" to be there. As was said before me...you are taking your poetry to new heights ...which is no small feat considering the level at which you already wrote... and may I say-- it a stunning thing to witness. When your own emptiness is all thats getting through |
