I encountered this guy at work late last night.I work as a motel receptionist and he checked in at the motel just before the end of my shift. He unnerved me a little due to the fact he was so angry and even threatened to kill the taxi driver who apparently abused him.I couldn't help but wonder about his life and I guessed he was on drugs. Anyway, my feelings got the better of me and prompted me to write this. * * * * * I hear you before I see you As you alight from the cab You seem to be arguing with the driver Were you leaving without paying the tab? Where is it that you came from Is there a place that you call home? Numerous bags in your possession You carry with you as you roam I gather my first impressions As you walk in through the door A story behind each face I've seen so many times before I watch your left hand tremble As you struggle to fill in the form All you want is a bed for the night A place that is safe and warm The young girl who stands behind you Seems so fragile and afraid You both seem so very young Some bad choices I guess you've made You pay me cash up front As I hand you the key Your life probably didn't turn out Like you hoped it would be I find myself feeling pity For the youth of today So many need our guidance Someone to help them along the way So much anger in these people And often quick to start a fight Far too many wander the streets Looking for a bed for the night I'll return to work tomorrow Knowing you'll no longer be there And I'll wonder what became of you 'tho many others just don't care Suetang |

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Sue, this is soooooooo powerfully sensitively written, sweet friend, I can understand how you feel and I hope he was just under a lot of stress and he really wasn't on drugs or intending to kill anyone; my heart goes out to him and I hope everything turned out in the end! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, my thoughts are with the both of you and the taxi driver, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Suetang~ Well said, well written....there's so many people out there, each with their own story....I've often wondered at the hidden lives of strangers. There's so many lost souls out there...too many. How *did* they end up that way? *hugs* ~Krista Your beautiful words & creativity allow me to connect with the same in myself. |
