INSOMNIA I Love The Middle of the Night. I Grew Up With this Family Philosophy That Bad News can wait for Morning. Let People get their Sleep. Sleep, I can do without. It's Bad News that I hate! So. . . I stay up all Night And refuse to wake up in the Morning! Shenachie [This message has been edited by Bridget Shenachie (05-06-2002 11:11 PM).] |

Bridget, My family motto is just the oppisite... never go to bed angry lol. I can't say I blame you for not wanting to get up in the morning hehe. Hugs, Tara "My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read" |

LOL, how I can relate to this! Very well done. And now, "sleep, perchance to sleep?" (or is that, perchance to dream?) |

So. . . I stay up all Night And refuse to wake up in the Morning! ========================= Now theres a twist I never thought of. Seems that insomnia is a poet's time to write as we see in here every night. Clever write Poetess Bridget!! well done...and good "morning" when ever that may be. |

(sigh) Oh Bridget, I know how you feel, sweet friend, I too a troubled so much by bad news and just wish it can all subside and I feel if we just rest with that burden on our chest when we sleep, we only wake up to feel it as though it was like keys in your shorts you slept on, while if we think it over through poetic thought we lose ourselves in new wonders! (big hugggsssss) This is excellent, sweet friend, I LOVE IT, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bridget, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Bridget~ I love the stillness of the night When poet's thoughts are quilled-in-flight Never thought myself an insomniac Just don't want to miss a thought I might not get back~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Ya wanna lend some sheep Bridget??? ha ha My family saying has always been when something bad happened: Some good will come out of it somehow It always does ya know. Love your poem Titia A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess... Tara--isn't it interesting what we carry away from our childhoods? I never go to bed angry. I just go to bed too tired to be mad. I see the wisdom of your family philosophy. Thanks for commenting and comparing notes. Midnitesun--I sleep perchance to be restored. I wish that I was better at remembering my dreams. Thanks for commenting. How do you sleep with the Midnight Sun? I think that would wreak havoc with sleep patterns. Duncan--this usually works for me. Sunshine--Yep! I was keeping a morning date with my pillow. Janet Marie--seems that I'm naturally nocturnal so I make the best of it. Thanks for commenting. M--You sound like a kindred spirit. Noah--Reality is tough sometimes, ain't it. I'm glad that you are one of those people who try to create a better reality. Marge--My high point of lucidity and mental clarity is 2:00 AM. Too bad no one sees it. That leaves me brilliant in my own mind. Thanks for commenting. I enjoy your writing and am so glad that you capture those thoughts. Larry--I have a talent for sleeping through alarms. I see an occasional morning. Find them very interesting. Hey, is the desert blooming? Titia--That's a generous offer, but if you sent me too many sheep, I'd stay awake worrying about shoveling manure. Loved your family saying "Some good will come out of it somehow." I stay awake just to take advantage of my clearest thinking. I do love the night and struggle with being on time during the day. Shenachie |
