For two passionate friends...

We came to Love with open heart.
Our passionate carelessness
tore love apart.
Now, even the sun
doesn’t want to get up.
We are both mourning,
and every day it rains
salty tears upon the pain.

I do not want to understand
the why of goodbye.
All I want to do is
cry your name,
feeling somehow
like a broken toy
cast aside,
a shattered marble
swept under the bed,
a once treasured book
tossed into a corner,
with edges frayed.
I do not want
to know
the why
of goodbye.
It’s enough
to know the pain.

Look in the northwestern sky tonight, where there will be a warm understanding hug glowing, with your name on it.

I like "the why of goodbye." One possible word change -- maybe instead of tossing a shattered marble (which is hard to do), you can sweep the shattered marble under the bed.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Kacy, this is so very sad but beautifully and compassionately heartfelt sentiment, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you friends and I hope soon time will ease the hurt and new love will come and grace the pages of that book with a rose! (sigh) This is wonderful, sweet friend, you are a true angel, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Yes, bsquirrel, I do like that suggestion. Thanks.

Duncan, I promise I won't even ask you to smile today.

Nancy, great idea! A hug-a-thon?

Noah, sometimes all you can do is say you are sorry.

My heart wept as I read this. Well done. Chris

Alan, I'm not going to say I'm sorry you can relate. Somehow, pain is a part of love.

============================

this is good thing you have done...ya know?
yes...me thinks ya know. very cool Kacy.
a poetic hug...very cool indeed.

... and I don't know why ...
Why should love come down and just sweep me away
I want to fly ... but there are so many things in my way.

Kacy, I think you have taken the words out of my mouth. This is such a heart felt treasure... I truly believe that you do indeed understand the pain on both sides.  Hey, you got another one of those hugs to spare?

Lyra, so good to see you up and about posting. And BTW, thanks for the funny email you sent earlier. LMAO.

Tracey, my heart hugs are for you, too. If I could absorb some of the pain for you, I would. Yes, your heart hug is in the sky.
And here is a cyber hug. Just remember, I'm only an email away, until June.
