~ White Unicorn Dream ~

only one may seat the horse
A palerider of fate
sipping his morning cup of storm
leaving is always late

black rain does not trickle down
where it must always mist
leaving the grass like tossed salad
green-alive and crisp.

blurred are crooked backgrounds
hooves paw; smoke from snorts
a power that sings from galloping veils
secrets told in sealed waxy reports

He never thought he would forget or lose
how to stalk his way back home
face to nuzzle, they compare life alibi's
haunted are the aloof and the alone

He asks each dream, and each time: refused
if he knows the right name to say
with a heart held firmly held in his hand
utters: Love
as, finally both,they ride away

You captured my attention with the unicorn title, and kept it with a magical flow of words and thoughts. Love, a magic potion.

I like how you wrote this.  Your images are crystal and potent.  Soulmates are they, the equine and the rider. It is a beautiful story.

Master Seymour:  Thanks guy, for the time in reading
and your most generous reply!

Magnus:  from one old-school romantic poet to another,
it's the only way to be, don't you think?  Thankx, Magnus.

Maaaaaaaaa-Shhhhhhhhhaa:  How's my Brit friend these
days?  **smile** Even though it seemed a simple topic,
it had more than one thought process going on.  As usual,
huh?  hehehe   You are the kindest dearest Lady.
Thankx is never enuff.  Say hi to Kriss, please, for all of us
here at Shadow-Central.

Sunshine:  delightful of YOU to give your atta-boy to
this humble poem.  That was sweet. . .thank you!

May peace and love
always be in your heart's hearth.

Morning Nance!  How are you this fine fine day?
Unicorn's symbolize many things to me:  the loss
of mystery, the gain of legends, the majesty of
mythical power and of dreams.   Don't know what
I would do without your words, Nance.  ~huuugg~

Noah, your words in reply exceed the poetry of the
poem itself, Ami.  **smile**  But yes, you hit on the
idea:  that the unicorn was the method of carrying
away the sweet dreams to be lived together.
You are compassionate AND clever.

Ivy Rose:  a perfect blend of names that I owe a favor
to for replying so warmly.  Thank you so much, Ivy.

MidniteSun-Lady:  hi kiddo!  que pasa out 'dere in
Alaska land.   Love, in a purest sense, IS magical.
Indeed it is!  Hope you are doing well, and many
thanks to you, sweet friend.

MagicMystery:   what a special treat it is to see your
words here.  I TRY to write even romantic pieces with
a flavour of power words.  Just my nature I guess.  Never
been known to tread without breaking the grass blades.
hehehe   HAVE been known to make people slap their
haids and say:  What in the Sam Hill is he talking about!?
Pleased you enjoyed this, tho!

May love and peace
always stay warmed in your heart's hearth.

Thanksx Y'all!
Jeff

That made me think of the Last Unicorn for some reason, and then it makes me think how I even remember that...

Enjoyed.
