Wronged or Righteous He stands at the hill's pinnacle no man has ever wanted to look over his life from there the cap of gloom bumping thunder above him strobe-flashed, his face marrow white and pale strained with a decision he cannot make on a torchlight's tip, tantalizing frozen phased time lost; a song without meter plays without a listener the waiting lonely with hands outstretched searching grace the din of his soul's siege immeasurably loud two years ago in a drunken swirling cacophony bumper met flesh, and flesh died without prayer one man stayed one man fled into the shelter of cowardice the passenger now awaits sentencing while the driver trembles on Pilate's Mount he bleeds from a wound-loss not yet opened his mind splintered in sacrificial bewilderment The Mount is his to inhabit: he created it Friendship meted from melted mascara clear tears He can face his mistake or he can't He waits for the matchless storm to abate his heart opens he comes down . . . and meets himself |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Jeff, this is so very wonderfully said, sweet friend, I'm not sure if I got the entire meaning of this poem, but it seemed to me that we all inflict wounds, and to make rights of all these wrongs we create, we must look deep down inside of ourselves and examine ourselves sincerely and admit our own faults and lusten to make better again! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jeff, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! i think you have the gist of it, Noah. Sort of a story of choices between doing what's right even if it means sacrifice. a hypothetical situation of two friends; one taking the 'rap' for the other, and the 2nd having to make a decision. sorry for the headache....i keep a year's supply here just for friends who read these kinds of poems....*s* Thankx Noah-Dude! Seriously grateful for your insightful interp! my best, always, jeff |

Jeff darling heart OH MY firstly this is what I was talking about, it’s utterly utterly breathtaking in its power. YOUR writing is utterly utterly beautiful, and awesome. The insight in with which this has been written is incredible, choices, always choices, with all have them, but not all of us listen to our hearts when making them. You as you always do write with power and depth. Without fear or favour you clearly and most beautifully inscribe words of wisdom. I am awed seriously by your ability darling boy. YOU leave me speechless with admiration for the way this is written. YOU do know I love your writing don’t you? Of course, that is why I always look for your writing. Excellent work darling boy excellent BTW say hi to Dulcie and Batman for me and give them both a hug x x Love and warm stuff As always Mushy To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |

Jeff, I love poetry that makes me think... as this one does. I shall therefore say 'well done', pop it into my library and at a quiet time during my day, take it out again and savour every word. ~Hugs~ ~Somewhere in my heart I'm always |

postponing the inevitable righteousness, but one can never avoid it totally. I am humbled that you are reading this, and willing to dissect the analogies, metaphors. They each have both a spiritual meaning, and a storyline meaning. It's hard to write a metaphor that can be both. That's why Dulcy calls them headache poems. None of that 'moon in june' love glove, dove above stuff. hahaha You both are special friends, and are the main reason i stay here at Passions. Wonderful wonderful people, both of you. Thanks. jeff |
