How do i provide a link?

Hi guys......i know that this is going to make me sound like a moron...and when it comes to computers....I pretty much am. Anyway, I've posted poems on here......and read other poems which i have made comments on. Often I hear that I should provide a link to that poem.....my problem is ....I dont' know how to do that. How do i attach a link to my poetry.

If you just type it in, exactly as you see it in your browser's Address (or Location) bar, that will work.

Better, use copy and paste. Click in the Address (or Location) bar, and that should highlight the whole URL. Hold down the Control key (CTRL), then press C (for copy). Click back into your post or reply window, hold down the Control key again, and then press V (for, uh, paste?). If you aren't comfortable with CTRL shortcuts, you can also copy and paste using the right-click menu on Windows.

Any way you can get the URL into your message, the system will automatically recognize it and convert it into a clickable link.

K ....thanks Ron....i'll have to try it. What is with the V for paste? Why on earth would they use a V? I can't even think of a synonym for paste that would begin with the letter V......and they call themselves pros......lol

Heh, ctrl+v was put as paste on the keyboard the way it is for convenience. The most often used shortcuts are undo, cut, copy, and paste (ctrl+z, ctrl+x, ctrl+c, ctrl+v respectively). So with them all in a row, they would be much easier to press. I guess a "synonym" you can use for V is oVertype. Yeah, I know it's cheating, but oh well.

...I thought Ctrl+P prints?
