flashcard images of past ice-cold ~water-running~ through my veins and nod pretending that you heard-- stomp the foot now in replace of sermons that you found absurd. Toss the silver coin to them in wait outside of city gates. there's ecstacy releasing self to the unknown white water rafting in the mind drawing ve've' on the floor --chanting-- oh-give-me-some-more wailing for a piece of heart flicking bics to light the sky as blister bubbles on the thumb in the shaman's jubilee... It is the silence of a crowd. Leaving so regretfully, walking down the ramp to home. clutching shroud-- eyes which meet by accident. Smiling as they look away-- saved... as if? They just left church. and oh I wish I had the nerve to overturn the tables of money-changers raping doves... (I actually came back to edit..because? I forgot my period!) *winks all* [This message has been edited by serenity blaze (02-26-2003 04:18 AM).] |

HAHA, yet not a funny flat note. Love that turnstile line. Love Neil too, but do remember concert(s) where he wasn't able to perform, and we left (but not in silence), heads bowed and shaking in anger mixed with love. Good money changers line. |

The last concert I went to was less than a week after 911. The tension was still thick, not from worry but more from disgust and confusion. By the end of the show the absolute release of all the negativity and tension turned into something beautiful and aweinspiring by the incredible band and their interaction with the excited crowd. It was truly something beautiful, music is absolute magic as are these words. (Not Neil btw) [This message has been edited by Aenimal (02-26-2003 10:41 AM).] |

(sigh) I love Neil Young's music so much, but I do know of those times he abruptly left stage without explanation and that too disappoints me, like rock and roll is about love and peace originally and to leave is really like raping the dove of the message! (big hugggsssssss) Yet his lyrics still find a place in my heart, this is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." Shakira [This message has been edited by Mistletoe Angel (02-26-2003 01:20 PM).] |

quick credit to Grand Funk Railroad as well as this: " ice-cold ~water-running~ through my veins" is a direct quote from "Inside Looking Out" as written by the same band members. many other references here as well-- Deep Purple's Fireball-- my stomp the foot alludes to "Footstompin' Music" by Grand Funk as well--blush, was kind of Grand Funk groupie-- more allusions are the jungle, to Guns-N-Roses, "Welcome to the Jungle" and shaman's jubilee was a nod to Jim Morrison of The Doors, as he understood crowd behavior like no other... and the smile to Neil Young, because his album and tour "sponsored by nobody" was his flip of the finger to corporate sponsorship of music...and? I gotta chuckle out of seeing my son wear that SAME shirt, with that same slogan, on his back. Yep, he walks down the street with "sponsored by nobody" written on his back! heh. gotta love it... and NOW? I'm burning supper, so? if I made a copyright faux paus regarding the direct quote, somebody e mail me and I will edit... thanks for reading...gotta run...something really IS burning! |
