You see, It is not this season That hangs interminably on to Frigid winds that are shadows Of faded sunlight, Nor the blankets cold lain down For us to try and find a source Of warmth in their beauty of Patch worked shades I do not blame Winter It is the fire inside That wanes with a pain that squeezes Each breath and leaves one Exhaled in thin fog To freeze As mist on Someone’s memories Do please me If you can, And worry not about sheltering Me from the cut of wind But think of me in kindness After last embers and I Are ash. |

"To freeze As mist On someone's memories" An excellent line, wish I'd come up with it. The stars will shine when I am gone, |

But think of me in kindness After last embers and I Are ash. I think of you kindly now, for telling us so well the scenes you see. Through rubble and trouble and dark of night |

Yes, you do have a magical way of creating many images/ideas.... Know what I liked? "patch worked shades", in addition to this almost grim, quite sad poem.... I'm with Martie, Warm Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

(big hugggssssss) Oh Ron, I too think every one of us should have that kind of request, to hold onto everything and not have it become dust too! (sigh) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! As the temps dip toward zero, I see one ember remaining... if I blow softly... and add kindling... I wonder if I shall see a spark...? |

Do please me If you can, And worry not about sheltering Me from the cut of wind But think of me in kindness After last embers and I Are ash. ============================== Me thinks we have had too much mid-west winter Capt...we need a vacation. You thinking what Im thinking? yeppers....I hear the waves calling. On a day that holds winter too tightly and frigid winds frost her words ... she whispers across the distance calling to the warm sand reverie that holds her heart in tide taken requite. Where the touch of lovers end and the soul of friends begin, |

Such a wonderful way you have with words, Capt. Ron. You put them all in just the right places, making your readers beg for more. We could never get enough of your words, friend.... "Love makes the world go around" |

Another excellent "Ron-thing." And this stanza is priceless: It is the fire inside That wanes with a pain that squeezes Each breath and leaves one Exhaled in thin fog To freeze As mist on Someone’s memories Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Wow! *S* You've woven a captivating wordspell with this beauty, Cap'n... I kept trying to choose my favorite parts and the final decision is: all. *S* |
