Henehene Kou 'Aka (Hawaiian Songs)featuring the music of Iz
and my poetry about a Lovely Wahine

"Our eyes have met.
Our lips not yet.
I'm gonna get you yet.
How much you wanna bet."
  As sung by
   Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

Lovely Wahine

These are the desires
that dreams are made of.
That a man will meet
his special woman.
That they will pursue a
relationship, share a kiss,
and perhaps fall in love.
Someday I am sure that
all my dreams will come true.
Look for me my lovely wahine.
For I am looking for you.

The lyrics in quotation marks are
from the song "Henehene Kou 'Aka"
from the CD "Facing Future"
by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.

Henehene Kou 'Aka--my eyes are
laughing at you, my eyes are
admiring you, happy eyes.
By my translation.  The best
I can do.

(smiles) Oh James, this is gorgeous, sweet friend, I would love to listen to her music as I love Hawaiian music because it helps me relax and I wish I had a hammock I could sway in as it took me to sleep! May love and light always shine upon you!
