Oh Santa Clause
Since you a registered foreigner
Needing a green card to visit
On Christmas Eve
Having to document yourself
As a non combatant alien

X-rayed in Nova Scotia
Picking up a special visa
From a State Department official
Drilled by Central Intelligence
And being finger printed for the FBI

Having to file a flight plan
Being under fighter escort
The White House is off limits
As is much of Washington
Maybe not a bad idea
For they have given him
So much grief

Entering the freedom
Of the United States
Just being so jolly to be free
He soon finds himself
Under surveillance
By Homeland Security
Every house he now visits
Is suspect to terrorist activities

As he delivers from a child’s list
They now go onto a computer
Called Hoover’s agenda
Dedicated to the one
Whose power could
Blackmail presidents

Arriving over Tuscaloosa
He finds another detour
For the furniture
In his sleigh
Has not been approved
For outside use

The Furniture Police
Are waiting in the bushes
Enforcing City Council mandates
And making it worse
Parking has been restricted

Meter maids, also in the bushes
Are doing their thing
Awaiting the next victim
Parking has been banned
To designated driveways
And to a very limited
Sometimes metered
Public spaces

Private lawns, porches,
balconies, and roofs
Have been banned for use
Except by city approved usage
So Santa you can go stealth
But a missile
Might go up his fanny

Sorry T Town
Next year he will use
College students
Delivering happiness
Landing in the universities Quad
That is until the administration
Requires him to use its Bama cash

In a tear from his eye
Just wanting to make
Children happy
Just maybe next year
He will have to deliver
Federal Express
Well maybe UPS
For the word federal
Now sends shivers
Up his spine

Thought: Laws sometimes are so funny, until you have to pay for them.
Thought: If you hate me for speaking out but it makes you think, condemn me to my words.

Just hilarious....my cheeks hurt and my sides still ache from laughing... but it is soooo true... big brother move over!!!  Furnature police waiting in the bushes!!! LOL

Have a checkmark!!!

Sherry

but I know Santa takes more care than Fedex!!! If my packages could speak....

Cherish the good memories of the past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. But above all... be kind to yourself today.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh David, this is so very true, sweet friend, it seems the whole federal system is much harsher than ever, it seems anything in aerial view can be taken down! (sad sigh) This is a wonderfully both amusing and haunting, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet David, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Dang ... I really want to vote for this one, but it's really cluttered and lumpy right now. Knead through the dough some more, and pull out what you want to say, separating it from what doesn't need to be said.
