i found this poem that i had written in english class when i was like 15--so i thought i would share. new justice is found as the young boy mourns the death of the lonesome vagrant who wandered the winding and dirty streets alone; with noone by his side to hear the soft patter of his worn out shoes that moved always at the same pace constant and driven by an undying endurance to get to the prize hidden at the end of his life walking to forget the hunger eating inside or the bruised flesh of his feet the young boy mourns from inside his room of luxury filled with nothing needed everything wanted the young boy mourns next to his loving parents-- the boy munching on his favorite candy bar mourns the death of the lonesome vagrant. the only people for me are the mad ones-mad to live, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at once--jack kerouac |

Noah...wow..this is quite a powerful write, and I felt it as I read. I particularly like, "to get to the prize hidden at the end of his life" I really like the concept of that. Very nicely penned. ~Vicky "...until you have read the verse on his heart, |

Nice...the first poem I can consciously remember writing when I was a teenager...and that was a long time ago was this... In my younger years I used to kneel by my Aunt's house on a railroad field and yank the grass out of the ground and rip savagely at its roots. Much later I incorporated it into the body of a poem that I wrote about Bonnie and Clyde...James |
