Thank you God for eye of mind. A lasting kiss, in life can't find. No such dream can ever be, I like to think in fantasy. It gets me past the voids in life, The hurts, the pain, the toil, the strife. Imperfect love, disingenuine mate, Helps my soul participate. My fantasies like fairy lace, Of butterfly wings on the wind of grace. Thank you God, for letting me see An evergreen queen, that I can be. In Light, and love and warmth of laughter, That I may live Happily Ever After If only for a moment in time I may exist in rhythm and rhyme. I whisper this: "I've much gratitude." Thank you God for this attitude. Your gift is creativity's feel And nature's wondrous, happy heal. From bitterness and arrogance, ~I think!~ and I'm transported to bliss. . . . . ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. Kaile, ~I~ was inspired, alright... And, I knew if you read this, you'd say that about rhythm and rhyme... many other cliches...as well... In this poem my object was concept rather than creative writing skills. ~You~ are so cool! Thank you for taking the time to comment. I so appreciate you. Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. "Desiderata" [This message has been edited by regards2you (04-12-2003 06:22 PM).] |

Well, Ms. Pat you couldn't say it more wonderfully. I know exactly what you are talking about...escaping through your writings, and I feel the very same way you do. Gosh, sometimes when I feel something just welling up in me (usually a negative thing) and can release it in writing, I feel like something has lifted all of the "ick" right out of me. It is almost amazing, isn't it? That is why God gives one the gifts he does. In a world, where many are medicated to endure the days, isn't it nice that we know what makes all of our boo-boo's go away. Thanks for your words, Pat, Pat |

Yes, Pat, that is so right. The power of writing takes the power of pain away, among many other things. The gifts given, multiple. Smiling here...I appreciate your time and indepth comments. Mutual respect feels so good.... Glad you are here, with us. Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

Now, Pat, as you well know, this is the kind of poetry writing that I love better than any other. You said in your response to Kaile that your "object was concept rather than creative writng skills". Well, Lady, your concept is just perfect to me. I had much rather keep my mind upon happy things than upon the sad things in this life. Heaven only knows, there are enough of them. Writing is a great release from these troubles and trials of life. And yes, God does give us the happy thoughts, so I like to believe that He does the inspiring of happy poetry. I love the rhythm and rhyme, too. I like that kind of poetry best of all. Now, like I've said before, in my own writing, if I could get the "rhythm and rhyme" just the way I want it in the little "rictameter" poems, I would really be a happy camper. I'd probably think I was in hog-heaven or paradise, one!! LOL Oh, I want to keep this if I may. Hugs, Ethel |

Ethel and Anne, How nice you took the time to read and to reply. Happily Ever After, I needed to write about in relation to another of my poems, Tears of Your Joy... Glad you both liked this. Happy (rainy day, here) Saturday to you. Hugs, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

OhPat~ What a beautiful gem to find here this morning~ Lovely, lovely replies and comments by sincerest of friends~ My favorite parts - ' My fantasies like fairy lace, Of butterfly wings on the wind of grace. From bitterness and arrogance, ~I think!~ and I'm transported to bliss.' The 'fairy lace' caught me breathlessly~ Indeed, 'From bitterness and arrogance' you have ascended to a higher plane~ God bless you, lady~ And He does~ Love you~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
