I have many fond memories
Of Summers here with you
Cool clear water so inviting
A brilliant shade of China blue

I clench the sand between my toes
As I gaze on out to sea
But a part of me is missing
For you're no longer here with me

I put my feelings down on paper
As I reveal my love for you
You are here with me in spirit
A great part of all I do

As I gently close my eyes
I imagine you are here
When my memory is in focus
Thoughts of you become so clear

* * * *

"Love is the lifeline I cling to
when grief threatens to pull me down
into eternal darkness"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Sue - what beautiful memories you have and am glad you shared them - and what solace you get from them - this is quite beautiful

But a part of me is missing
For you're no longer here with me

Always in spirit . . . xxoo

*wink* I did see the quote and I am keeping it - hehehehehe

Loved this so so much! Beautiful!
Loved the pic, also

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

And is it just me or does anyone else see that cloud as being a bird...or is that sort of the point of the pic...?

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

Beautiful picture and equally beautiful words. I also see the cloud as a bird.
