Moved from a shack to a barn

I tried last night
To soothe you as you slept

Pulled you spooning to me
Not so much in prurient urge
But, to quiet your tremble

Wrapped you
In what little peace I’ve found
For myself

Felt you sigh your doubts
Into my hair
To be tangled there
Becoming my crown

And breathing your fears
Onto my neck
Where they stilled and warmed
Losing their chill

You stirred and draped me
With a feverish welcome

And I could not breathe
For fear of breaking the spell
But let my hands
Search blindly for your substance

While you kissed your yearnings
Deep into my chest
So that they found their way
Into my heart

You didn’t know it
Never felt it
But, I found you
Sleeping

Well now...I don't know whether this wonderful write has just kick-started my morning, or if I am going to be left sitting here all day reading and rereading. I know one thing for sure - this is going directly into my library. Awesome. Chris

One of the most beautiful love songs that I have ever heard--I mean "read"!
I scarcely took a breath as I read your words. Your sensitivity and your deeply loving nature came shining through with this tender poem.

Love & Light,

this stanza
is the begin
of the breath-hold...

and I can't seem
to let go
of the gasp...

The way you capture moments -- the surface and the depth together -- just masterful.

I've been there, that kind moment, and you just helped me re-live it.
