Distortions I've aged in hardness these last few years, the mirror lying to those eyes of mine. Passion has withered, the thrill of it gone as a season of change is here to refine. I've embraced those dreams of wants and desires to no avail, they have failed me strong. Never hearing the words of love, I am feeling lonely, for that which I long. So, why still the longing, when nobody's there with nothing to give and nothing to share... Why let the torture continue since then, causing distortions in this mind again. I've known since beginning, I was shades of your gray mocking me sometimes for being naive. Just an experiment, I now must admit, on that day in particular, a midsummer's eve. Sighing I wonder, what time offers me, it's not for the taking, a word to the wise. My heart is on empty, devoid of all feel, in the mirror each morning, expressionless eyes. So, why still the longing, when nobody's there with nothing to give and nothing to share... Why let the torture continue since then, causing distortions in this mind again. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Oh, Maureen, you know how to say this so well. This pain that doesn't go away. The loss of hope, the sadness of misplaced dreams. This is as always, very expressive and wonderful. Sandra |
