Hold me tonight Against your shuddering skin. Kiss me just right The way you always do. Lay with me right now Let this moment last forever Let me kiss your lips so tender Let me gladfully surrender. Run your fingertips across my cheek The way you know I love Make me sigh and shed a tear In thanks to up above. I know God must have been reluctant To give you up to me To hold you in my arms For I'm afraid you won't be free For a very long time, you see I can't dream of letting go Of the perfect one, the only being Who warms me, heart and soul. I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man. |
