For my troubled grandaughter: Caitlin Eldora do some call Shangri-la Over a rainbow and ever so far Or a Grail, a cup you must find It’s all a state, a state of the mind It is a trip, of feet and the lip A little honey perhaps a sip Could be a spree a sail on the sea? Or just a concoction not to be We all like to walk in the garden of Eve We all look for heaven and want to believe. But shadows and mist will always persist And that is the truth I really insist. Love is the bail that rests in the grail And Shangri-la is the mast and the sail But beauty transcends in the cast of rhyme And that is the job of old father time. So check you the world and look to the dove And peace will unfurl and so will your love. |
