I live in another dimension where magic exists unrestrained, where fairies and elves break the tension cloud riding, is something that's trained I reside within parallel verse that touches the earth now and then, where magic is blessing - not curse And small are the deeds of all men. I live in a fabled existence. My wings in this place have been furled I conquer without much resistance for my will, round magic, is swirled. The horn of my brow is my making my glistening coat shines like dew I gallop cross earth - leave it shaking in wonder at all I can do. You hear me but see me not passing the scenes of your world are too loud in thunder you learn of my laughing My wisdom you hear 'neath the crowd And softly I come to you dreaming to show you what's won and what's lost the magic I give could be streaming, yet high, are you counting the cost Contained by the circle of magic I dwell in this world and yet not and the tale that I tell is quite tragic for the magic is something forgot Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Blues Serenade, thank you kind lady I have a particular affection for that verse too. CSKpoet, thank you for your lovely words of praise. passing shadows, isn't two entries enough. I don't want to seem greedy. Besides if I publish only in anthologies what will I put in my own publication?
