 art by ~ S ~ Dance me tonight by the light of the moon Feel the magic as I start to sway For the blood of the gypsies flows strong in my veins And tonight I might steal you away... You'll have ne'er a warning 'neath the full moon so bright As I chant gypsy spells 'round the fire With hair flowing wildly, I move with the wind Touching only with eyes of desire... The night is my strength and my soul comes alive As I dance on the moors, as in old An ancestral call only heard by my heart Tells me: "Dance, and your lover you'll hold"... It's rumoured in folk lore that gypsies are thieves And to that I have just this to say Be careful, for legend is based on old truths And tonight I might steal you away! Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart ~~S~~ |
