Mirror in my heart, can you reflect the damage I've perused through? Shuffling the stacks of carded dreams the dust of too much contrition has made them innocuous and all the glossiness fades from their brittle corners. Mirror, tell me the uncertainty so clearly displayed yet lost in the aloof mannerisms of a woman and show what might have been had I allowed the landslide of love bury me in its amnesty. To trace my name upon your surface is to immortalize the aeons its been since I've visited last. I've forgotten how remote the mirror of a heart can be when you store the bereavement of a life in unmarked boxes. To reveal the contents is to revisit the demons penance bringing the strongest to their knees. And to face the mirror again tells you nothing but what might have been. |

Welcome! A good first Offering. I look forward to reading more of your work. I specially liked the following: I've forgotten how remote the mirror of a heart can be when you store the bereavement of a life in unmarked boxes. Welcome to this blue passionate attic. I enjoyed this write, even in its sadness, especially this: I've forgotten how remote the mirror of a heart can be when you store the bereavement of a life in unmarked boxes. To reveal the contents is to revisit the demons penance bringing the strongest to their knees |

BrokenBird...An outstanding job!!!!! Loved this poem and your style of writing. These are the lines that I felt were the most powerful: I've forgotten how remote the mirror of a heart can be when you store the bereavement of a life in unmarked boxes. To reveal the contents is to revisit the demons penance bringing the strongest to their knees. And to face the mirror again tells you nothing but what might have been. |

Yay! Oh Kelly, this is wonderful, dearest friend, this is a wonderful and introspective debut, sadly we have many regrets like this but also know they can be overcome and dealt with, yay, you truly are beautiful and promise us you'll always see that in the mirror! Welcome to Passions, sweet Kelly, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your lovely words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kelly, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you!
