The bright-eyed Kite Struggling against The wind of turbulent years Efforting to find a Calm pocket within the swirl In which She can rest, Regain her strength * * * * * The lively Kestrel Ever moving In her searching spiral Questing for her sustenance The morsel That may sate her yearning Quell her doubt * * * * * The gentle Dove Nested in the cloisters Wearing her mourning grays And morning pinks Warms her progeny Sweetly At her breast Could take freedoms’ flight But stays And gives love |

Ed, I always read your poetry more than once. Each time I get more meaning from it. But still can't find the proper description of how I truly love it. You are an amazing writer, friend. Hugs, Ethel |

And so those gentle wings have opted to remain grounded for the moment? This is amazingly beautiful Ed, on so many levels. Smiling here. |

As much as I enjoy reading your observations, I enjoy what you elicit from your peers... thank you, Sir... a lovely read... [This message has been edited by Lady In White (04-07-2003 09:36 AM).] |
