Alone I awaken This world now a prison I picture you Surrounded by thoughts of original sin And ask to be forgiven But it is cloudy today And Gods lost in other things So my heart melts again Knowing she was the one for me I can only sink Let her go please No! shes my destiny My faith My belief Is it not better to die Then to compound thy sin With thoughts that cannot be False loyalty Perhaps i can get her back! Don't be silly You left here once Never to be forgiven "Imagine what you would do if you knew no one was looking" |

This is so sad. But it is well written and I like it. Cold hands means a warm heart |

this reminds me of the scene in Romeo and Juliet, as they compare kissing to sin. Enjoyed, though painful Always, Alyssa - And so it was that time stood still - |

thanks for the reply. The poem was inspired after reading Thomas Hardy's "Tess of the D'Ubervilles". It is a very good book. "Imagine what you would do if you knew no one was looking" |
