A wet red couch A velvet that began to harden The papers were everywhere A mess was the entire place There lay a figure On the floor of red oak Shards of glass kept Her company while she cried It had been sudden A flurry of action everywhere She hadn't see his face And it was just as well Her husband had left her Abandoned would be the word After days of crying What greeted her but shame She struggled now To grasp the vine To live, to live a life Than to die a shameful death Red covered all And wet it was too She stopped crying As pain sent her away. |

This reminds me of when I went through my divorce...lots of pain and crying...and finally acceptance...James |
