Saluting with misty eyes

I see you there
Waiting in the dark
When I get home
Begging to be held
Just one more time
To remember the other times
You have never deserted me
Left me alone in my pain
It was always you
Who kept me sane
And sober when the nights turned
Colder than the deepest winter chill
My solice My heart My soul
Singing my emotions
When myself wasn't sure
What the morning's light would bring
My Faithful Friend
Asking naught but a chance
To sing again
And to bring comfort
To my weary mind

Imagine all the People living life in peace...
John Lennon

Beautiful piece her Ringo.
My son feels the same way about his guitar.
Loves to come home, pick her up, play and sing.
Me...I love to listen....

I love guitars. There was a time, when I attemted to learn how to play one. But, I got frustrated and quit. After buying about five. LOL! And gee, I can't play even one.

Thank you for all the kind words. For all of those that understand, I am currently abusing a Yamaha acousic, a Ringo electric (I built it) and an Ibanez bass... With all of the musical talent on here, we have GOT to do that musical project that was being threatened back a month ago!

BTW, Sue, I know the guitartabs site well... Thanks for the link.

That was great...

I feel the same way about my violin.  I swear I wouldn't be alive if music hadn't been there for me many years...

Amazing the affect...

I love this. I have a guitar. I got it for a
gift from my late husband
because he wanted me to be able
to play my own music while I sing.
I've sang in different quartets for many years.
He wanted me to sing more solos, though.
I really relate to music and understand
completely, though I still haven't mastered the
guitar the way I want to.
Heart Hugs,
Ethel

Ringo? Brad-dude? My Brotha!

I'm IN!!!

I've got a nice little Takamine, built-in pick-up, and great action--they say the guitar reflects the owner's personality--

but, I find that guitars inspire the most loverly-like responses in people, afterall? you spend HOURS holding them, and stroking them, and, and, should I shaddup now? (figured I should before I got to the joys of a whammy bar)

Loved this.

(couldya tell?)

Musical instruments become really like friends. You say it beautifully. I have a piano and I cherish it, even though I neglect it totally .....but one day I'll begin again. It's there waiting ...

Marg

you bring up a good point.  No matter how we treat our music, how we abuse it, how much we ignore it, etc... it is always there for us to come back to.  Waiting like an old friend.... and it's like riding a bike ;-) SO, hurry up and touch those keys again!!!!!

Boy, I just love my guitar for me creating a new riff or song is just what i need to express my emotions.  It's just a great thing to do in my free time, it has never let me down or left me.  Good write Ringo!
