You Don't Need Me . You said you didn’t need me and when I looked in your eyes there it was You didn’t need me was it the heat of the moment that caused what I saw in your eyes . I don’t know what you saw in my eyes you didn’t say I’m not sure now even what I was feeling But you turned and went downstairs And I sat down and cried . then I was furious and hurt and empty And I wanted to hurt you back but I just went downstairs and went to bed and cried myself to sleep . The next morning before I left for work I wrote you a note I’m sorry for lastnight And I do love you Left it in your chair . When I got home from work you were still working But the note I left you was on my chair beneath my note you wrote I’m sorry for lastnight And I do need you . Sometimes, if we make the first move it all works out. Usually, they were wanting to make a move, too. I loved the ending, especially. You said a lot in here between the lines. Book, yes..  "Love makes the world go around" |
