Just a little attempt to lighten the day I never thought I would become more than an innocent young girl somehow through time it's possible enough to make my grey hair curl. I glance in a store window now and see a stranger walking by in shock I see I know her well though clearly the window does lie. How dare time treat me so unkind and many friends I have as well What did we do so very wrong to land us in middle aged hell? |

Hey cat! Where's our park bench? Don't we need to be doing something to lighten our mood [and our hair?] I did get a chuckle out of this! Thank you little one! |

ROFLMAO... I love this!!! I've finally grown accustomed to my reflection... or else I've learned to avoid it... either way, it's better than the shock of "who IS that?" LOL |

Hey Sandra! Very good to read you again! As for the topic here... I've felt that way for most of my life (& I'm not even there yet!) I guess it's the weight of being an "old soul" coupled with idealism that's been alchemizing into ordealism... Hope you have a smile today: ![]() -MVS You CAN make a difference: |

Middle age is better than the alternative. And of course life is what we make it to a certain extent...we do have some control...James |

Sandra - you are beautiful and ageless, just like your poetry. Me? Awww heck, I don't wanna grow up nevermind old. I wouldn't be able to play "bump" with my grandson's Hotwheels as I do now. lol. hugs, Chris "Hope" is the thing with feathers- |

Mirrors lie, so I avoid them! ![]() But your reflection sometimes only reveals to you the outward elements of time, rather than the inner beauty, style and grace the rest of us see. |

![]() (big hugggsssssssss) Oh Sandra, this is so very heartfelt, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you, everyone out there is a stranger to you but one will certainly step from out of the shadows and show you a piece of heaven through the shades of red! (sigh) I send many hugs your way, dearest friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Hey Cat, So nice to see you, and enjoyed the poetry. I bet a walk among the palm tree's on sandy shores would feel so awesome, I have never looked at the beach in the same way since you came in to my life, never really liked them before, but now when I need a special place and feeling of friendship it's you that come's to mind and the sand and tree's in my heart. The girl's ask about you all of the time, They think you were (cool) is that a forty something word or what! You will always be in my heart Cat no matter distance or time. Love Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. |

Well, I guess you didn't see how you reflect upon so many others ...... in your moonlight, even tonight your radiance, like stars that prance a loving sight, not circumstance windows of sight, your eyes so bright and lips which dance these words of chants of heartache's plight and Love's lost chance ... in these shades white reflections glance many smiles my friend *S* |

Take this from a guy.... "Women of a certain age" are the nicest ones (apologies to all the younger women are in order here I guess) Truth is: The nubile feminine body is only temporary; A woman's true beauty (Inner and outer) is only revealed with the passage of time.... yeah, yeah, yeah.. I know that is just an opinion, but look at you... I hope I age as gracefully as you obviously do... Nice poem tho... As Oliver Twist said "may I have some more?" |

I love your poetry and this one made me smile ..... who is totally immune to such thoughts? But then ... it's how it is, the circle of life completes itself. No blooming rose can return to be a bud ....before having completed its own path ... Smile to the mirrored image and you'll be able to see beauty always! Love, Margherita |

I don't know what many of us did, but you are not alone. I am with you and we've got to get rid of that darn mirror! ![]() Hugs, Marti Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. A.Einstein |

Hey Sandra, the full length mirrors are the ones I hate.....because I would love to have the figure I had just 10 years ago. My Love keeps telling me I'm not fat, but I just tell him that I'm glad love is blind. LOL Now, there can always be something done about the gray, though. HeeHee!! I like this poem. It's cute. Hello Sandra When I look at your picture I see a beautiful young woman with the kindest of hearts. I have just turned 40 and although I have quite a few grey hairs now I feel more in control of my life than ever and I relish the challenge to tackle my forties!! Here is a little something for you, my friend. "Keep love in your heart A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring." I hope all is well with you and it is so nice to see you again. Take care.......Sue I am in motion |
