GENTLE AWAKENING You creep out of bed So as not to wake me, But your leaving Stirs me, to awareness. The pillow that cradled Your head remains indented. I reach out to touch The place that you vacated Between the sheets, The warmth of your body Radiates them still. A sleepy, contented smile Of remembrance Lights up my face, The very thought of you, And your touch Blissfully transports me Into a fantasy world. I feel childishly wicked And womanly wise, I am well and truly loved. The sound of you In the shower, Brings me back To the brink of waking. I wish I could Arouse myself enough To join you Beneath the stream Of warm water, Yet I can't. I seem unable To completely escape The enveloping cloud of sleep. I hear the shower door open, I visualize the bath towel Being held in your Competent hands. I see you briskly Drying yourself, You’re skin glowing From the roughness Of the towel. I am aware of you Brushing your teeth, Or is that somewhere In the background Of my fantasy? How wonderful It was last night. My mind is wandering, And I gently caress myself In recollection. Suddenly, Without my knowing, You are back in the room, The space in the bed Is occupied once again. My breasts and legs Tingle in anticipation, Our lips meet And you fulfill, Once again, All my fantasies. I be me BUT who does me be? |
