Sometimes I sit, in awe,
and wonder why so many Americans
protest this war with the
use of violence.
They burn our flag, and yet,
these are our fellow Americans.

It's these soliders that are the
reason these Americans even have
this freedom to do such horrible things.

My vision, my thoughts, take my to a place
where all Americans will support our men and women
who risk their lives, for our lives.

And as more men die, more families cry,
I hope that these people will realize
that their selfish acts will not,
in any cases, be tolerated on American soil.

We must all support these heroes,
and whether or not we agree with
the reasons for them being there is one thing,
but we all must understand that they still ARE there,
and remember, they are there for you and I,
and our violent protests and flag burning will not bring them home, it will only demoralize their spirts.

They are fighting for our freedom,
and if you hate the U.S. enough to burn the flag,
well, I suggest you go live in another country.

And for the time they are there,
and until they come home,
we are their support group,
let's not leave them alone.
May God Bless them.

I agree whole-heartedly.

Welcome to Passions!  I find myself wondering, as well.  Thanks goes out daily to all of those men and women who have taken their country so seriously, that they would defend it, as you have.

Please, check your E-mail for a Special Greeting!

Amen to that! But remember that those people are a tiny fraction of our people, and most of them are just haters who have this as their focus of the moment. Next week they'll be off hating something else.

I protest this war...
but not with the use of violence, as there is far too much of that already.
As for our soldiers, I wish for each and every one of them great safety and that they return some day to their families, who love them and miss them.
But I still protest this war, and what I perceive to be its ultimately negative long term consequences.
And I honor your right to feel differently.

(big huggggssssssss) I do protest this war also, but I will not do so with violence, as that would only contradict my argument as there is violence in Iraq and to make violent here would only create some kind of small civil war! I just believe that in the long run there will be more hatred, more balkanization, and we will be ever closer to some kind of jihad and I do not appreciate what the Bush administration is doing whatsoever, though I support the troops as all I want is for them to go home safely! God Bless You, dearest friend, this is a powerful debut! Welcome to Passions, sweet friend, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your lovely words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

bugger off its our right to protest.

it takes as guts to stand up and fight against war as it does to rush off to it.

This is very well said and the endless conflict of those who fight versue those who protest only survives in a free society.  Ken J
