Night

The silence of darkness shines with starlight
Nature enjoys a brief moment of rest
Majestic moon is a breathtaking sight

This is the time I always loved best
My mind revels in the soft peace of night
I think of all I have and feel blessed.

"wake me up inside
call my name and save me from the dark"
-Bring Me To Life by Evanescence

I really like this- it flows very well. Your imagery is quite good, and I like your rhymes. Nice job!!!

This one is a keeper, Tara.  I love it!     hugs

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Hi Tara. This is a very
'feel good' and warm poem.

When you think you have heard it all,
listen more closely.

Such a calm serenity in your soft words of night.  A stilling effect on the frantic ways of preoccupation.  I shall look up in the night sky more often.  Thank you.

Thank you all so much for stopping in. I am not a rhyming person... so the fact you like it is amazing LOL.
