Life's not simple, all ups and downs,
Joys and sorrows, smiles and frowns.
I've had both, but lately it seems,
Frowns and sorrows, encompass my dreams.

My friends and family, are mostly all gone,
Memories of past, have haunted so long,
I ponder my life, as I've reached middle age,
Sometimes it's a chore, to write one more page.

Listen to Toerag, this message I send,
The valuable things, that this short-life gives,
Are the laughter and love
From family and friends.

I remember dear Lyra
Chipmunk-sweet friend,
I know she's at peace,
Reading poems with a grin.

Toe, this is truly a lovely poem--and straight from your loving heart. With this poem, you are so "right" in what you "write".

Peace & Love,
Linda

Buzz, this is a beautiful poem
directly from your heart. I know
Lyra loves these poems written for
her, too. She is very much missed.

So sad actually.. But so very true.

Nice words, and very enoyed.

Toe, I so love it when you write from the serious side of your heart. Your words pour out and touch the hearts of others.

And what an important message this piece conveys.

Hugs, Marti

Toe,

"The valuable things"....how true.

I am sorry I didn't get to have much contact with her, hadn't been here very long before she became quite ill, however, through all of you, I've come to know what a special lady she was.

A great poem. Hugs, Pat

Toerag, it is so kind of you to write this about our (my) dear sweet friend, Lyra. I am glad she is no longer in pain. But, I sure do miss her.

Listen to Toerag, this message I send,
The valuable things, that this short-life gives,
Are the laughter and love
From family and friends.

Your message is a powerful one, sweets... so full of truth... such wise insight from a heart that's given so much laughter and love and a life that's known all too many sorrows.

It will always be one of my regrets that we didn't get to meet Lyra... I was quarantined back in September... and the end of this April is now so near, but that opportunity is gone. She touched so many of us, though... and will be loved by us forever.

This is an exquisitely beautiful tribute... from someone who knows what true wealth is all about. I thank you. *S*
