(This is a different kind of love song I think our soldiers and their families need during this difficult time. My friend Randy left for the military academy yesterday and I thought of his mothr and father especially and I wrote this for them to console their tears!)

Carry On
By: Noah Eaton
2/14/03

So this is how it feels to say goodbye
Even when I know we're always meant to be
I can feel the heavens osculating
But sometimes I can feel hell trembling beneath my feet
I will have your picture in my pocket
I won't wash this cheek with your kiss of faith
Is my destiny a walk to fame
Or am I swimming in a fishbowl of fate?

If my eyes go blind
If my hands go numb
I'll have you on my mind
I'll carry on with your love
No matter all the burning rapports
No matter all the waylays
I'll keep on my guard
And try not to change my ways
I will live for you
I'll make it through this imbroglio
As long as it matters
I won't sink that low
I'm scared, so please hug me
So I can fight these tears
Know I won't let you go
Know my love for you is gold
Your love will help me carry on...

All these hideous grins and peer pressure
And this darkness make me feel dizzy and unwell
Nothings ever going to be the same here
There's all these stories I lack courage to tell
No Man's Land is no place for purple hearts
I'll keep my sanity, but I have half a mind to bail
These eyes are bloodshot from the sleepless nights
And everything seems to go pale...

If my eyes go blind
If my hands go numb
I'll have you on my mind
I'll carry on with your love
No matter all the burning rapports
No matter all the waylays
I'll keep on my guard
And try not to change my ways
I will live for you
I'll make it through this imbroglio
As long as it matters
I won't sink that low
I'm scared, so please hug me
So I can fight these tears
Know I won't let you go
Know my love for you is gold
Your love will help me carry on...

No Man's Land is no place for purple hearts...
Black boots are not for those who love to dance in toe shoes...
No Man's Land is no place for purple hearts...
Tonight I'll see your silhouette as I'm staring at the moon...
Discombulating doves and robins without wings
Is all that is out there to see
I only pray for a moment of silence
To hear your sigh enlightening me...
.
.
.
.
No Man's Land is no place for purple hearts...
.
.
.
.
.
.

So if my eyes go blind
If my hands go numb
I'll have you on my mind
I'll carry on with your love
No matter all the burning rapports
No matter all the waylays
I'll keep on my guard
And try not to change my ways
I will live for you
I'll make it through this imbroglio
As long as it matters
I won't sink that low
I'm scared, so please hug me
So I can fight these tears
Know I won't let you go
Know my love for you is gold
Your love will help me carry on...
I must carry on...
I must carry on...
Carry on...

CONGRATULATIONS, NOAH!!

and this is a fitting tribute to the young men and women the world over, who train to be of service to their countries. It also shows the heartache and loss their families feel when duty calls their children from their homes.  Well done, my brother.

noah, I know that there is a way to e-mail things to our men and women in the feild. I really think you should try and do it, I bet they would truly love to see and feel this.

To it's tragic beauty
To pain and strife
Let all that dances through me
The rise and the fall, I lived through it all
