Through linen walls, enveloped by these sheer thin wraps So cordially invited to take part within the winsome taps As if in spell of undeclared, a pure white fever beads the calls And hallowed whispers travel on in echo down the velvet halls A long and lonely string to flounder on in endless paper trails And tattered strings unraveling through windblown silken sails As somehow sent to say the words that linger heavy in the heart And through the open window flies upon the wind in sweet depart But I cannot forget or exorcise the lost from burrowed winter rest Instead the gloss of disbelief in flames, flashed white on cinder breast Through linen walls, and churning dreams by feel to see instead As listened with the open heart, until the last of love is said Copyright Kkh 3/15/03 |

'A long and lonely string to flounder on in endless paper trails And tattered strings unraveling through windblown silken sails As somehow sent to say the words that linger heavy in the heart And through the open window flies upon the wind in sweet depart' This read like a song. Love the title. |

So delicate and fragile the way your words grace the page and touch my heart. They are a treasure to come across! (but surely you must know that already) |
