Caught in a web Of my own creation Those tangled vines That hold me still Each time I turn One falls in place Binding me close In its hated embrace My struggles are useless My thrashing inane Though my fighting Is ceaseless My energy drains I’m a fly in a web The threads are my life And the spider that weaves Is the core of my mind
