spring's kiss

my spirit bathed in sunlight
my soul sings with new dreams
watch it grow with spring's hope
as winter's gray mood
dissolves into the joy of morning birdsong
and the beauty of blue skies
destryoing a gray sky that washed
into the landscape of me
turning my life
to sodden mists of "whatever"
replaced now by open windows
fresh breezes and the need to breathe deep
and just be glad
in spring's soft kiss of hope
