the day after the parting,
he wrote a solemn song-
sing ye birds of admiration,
sing for this lonely one

nouns and pronouns adrift;
a canary's chirp afar-
listen to the sparkling lilacs
of her smile,
as they fade into the
moonshade

(smiles) Oh Spiros, this is lovely, sweet friend, I love lilacs so much as they have such a strong perfume and I wait so much for spring to come and the birds to sing!
