Listening to every heart

0 posted 2002-02-24 09:14 AM

and will you hear?

…and will you hear me…
whisper 'thank you for reading'
…seeing your reply…

for I am learning
connection through E S P
soothes my soul so well

…and will you hear me…
hoping you mean what you say
…when you feel my words…

for I am writing
to touch your spirit lightly
to lift it gently

…and should you feel it…
compassion, enfolding you
…and calm, engulfing…

then truthfully say
we are poets of the heart
and write, then, for me

A thank you, to all the readers, who leave responses of kindness, hope, a gesture for those who love to write, a reason to continue doing so...for a writer is nothing if a reader is turned away...

{{{{Sigh}}}}~~~ this is beautiful work here.... I think we all feel like this sometimes..... it took grace and courage to put it into words..... and to do so sooooo well.  This is etherial, light and wonderous writing my dear. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Oh Karilea ... now "this" is a beautiful example of why I have been missing my reading time at Passions so dearly. What an extraordinary piece ... each a lovely senryu in their own right, but together ... what a delightful composition.

Best wishes,
/Kit

Hi Kari aunt of my heart, this is beautiful and I can hear you loud and clear. If the song you sing is unheard then what use the song? For it’s beauty some say, for the joy it gives the singer say others. And what say I who never sings except in chorus merging into a single note. I say the song if it touches one single person is a joy passed on. That the song's notes will reverberate passing and touching more and more. This is your song and you sing in beauty and delight thank you

Karilea, I always enjoy reading what you write. Sometimes, if I have the time, I take a quick peek in passions and read a few, before I have to go to work. I usually don't have time to respond though. I'm sorry! Will you please forgive me?

Hello Karilea

I think I just found it!

Your words speak so many truths.  When I began writing nearly a year ago it was due to grief and then I found I moved on to other things that were more uplifting and I seemed to get stuck on love/romance writing which I adore.  I feel that if I can touch even one person with the words that I write, or bring a smile to their face, then I have achieved the ultimate goal.  My writing has brought me many rewards and I have been so fortunate to have met so many wonderfully gifted people such as yourself through my newfound love of writing.

Thank you for all of your support.

Take care.......Sue

Oh Sunshine how very true this is, reading and responding to one of our poems is like feeding our very soul isn't it. That's why we write, If no one were to read, then why bother. The reader is just as important as the writer, and I love this, It is a keeper. floria
