I took you to the movies
and broke the film
on purpose
so we could climb into each frame
and be the actor
and actress

you changed into your pjs
so you could be comfortable
and brought a towel
just in case
we went swimming there
at the beach of eden

we prayed in the chapel
by the ocean
and the deaf father listened
to our confessions
that we shared out loud
to tempt each other..even there

and when the rain came
you wanted me to cover you
with just my eyes
and hands
you started without me
I heard it in your voice

but I was close behind
waiting for your fingers
to point at the key
that said yes I have died
and am entering heaven
take my hand

and be there with me...
