I'm going to take a trip up north
and see the city lights,
where some people leave their hearts
and the golden sun does shine.

I plan to ride the cable cars and see the sights downtown
and take a ferry ride, across the bay to Alcatraz.
In case the men in their white coats
ever come for me someday
I'll have a general idea
of the inside of a padded cell.

I've never broke the law
or been held under suspicion.
So I've not a single explanation
for this quirky fascination.

Across the bridge we'll travel to the town of Sausalito
and pack ourselves a picnic
filled with cheese and wine for sippin'.
We'll reminisce about the good old days
and let our memories do the trippin'.

What makes this getaway so special
is the time that I'll be spending,
and the making of new memories
with my ever loving sisters.

awww.... have a blast!! I haven't been to Alcatraz myself but I want to.....maybe one of these days I'll get over there

Have a great time...i enjoyed all those places...especially San Francisco...enjoyed Ms.Serenade...hugss..i always have a good time with my sis..

Cool. Sounds like a great time...I'm sure you'll all have a blast. (Make sure they let ya back out of Alcatraz though!!!)

I just hope the jailers don't see me comin'.

Noah~ Thanks, I think the ferry ride across the bay will be worth the trip.  Something about being out on the water that
agrees with me.

Victoria~ Yes, we go way back with out sisters don't we?   I'm sure we'll have a grand old time, how could we not!!

BluesSerenade - now this sounds like a great trip. Just keep coming to the Island of Vancouver, and I'll taste that tippin bottle of wine, with you and you sisters...
