There's Always Hope

So dark, the night, without its stars.
It's beauty stolen from our eyes.
So dark, the soul, that has not hope,
which dies in fear with mournful cries.

We are in charge of what we feel.
My attitude is that of hope.
My nights will always contain stars
and with fear I will learn to cope.

Much peace is found in nature's gifts.
It's found in friends and their embrace,
in God, as He lends of his strengh.
There's still a smile upon my face.

~Michael Auguste~

Stars will shine when I am gone
Earth will spin on as before
Gulls still race along the shore
Morning star, still kiss the dawn

Michael, it's wonderful to see you posting here!
This piece reads as gentle as a prayer.
Yes...there is always hope,
and you have many friends here at Passions
who are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers....
I am but one of them.
