You hold your head up high; so slight give yourself: rough times of urban blight a world of diplomacy follows your lead millions of worshippers would like to feed. Stampedes issue from penned corrals hollywood stars collect their laurels; sirens wale out in the dead of night another world leader restrained a fight. Indignant and you'll be labeled as scornful indigent and you'll be placed as mournful; dignitaries will weave their way around but poverty and scorn will reach new bounds. Admire the grand politics of peace? admonish the dialetics of bigoted speech? hold your head up high, defend those rights millions of impoverished face urban blight. There is so much truth here, Martin... Having been involved in city politics...this poem rings very true for me. Thanks for sharing it.... ![]() copyright2002 Lyra Nesius |

![]() (big hugggsssssss) This is so very sdad but true, sweet friend, there are more issues facing those who live in an urban setting than anywhere else, and I only wish we could see all this grief from an aerial point of view and have city councils and the government work together to try and offer them special care and alleviation for all they have to go through! (sad sigh) It always saddens me how behind every corner there always seems to be one who faces this blight, sweet friend, this is a sad but powerful poem, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton |

Noah, that special care should trickle down to the taxpaper who pays the increases in his rent and often gets nothing out of that. Thanks for reading. |
