Wagging The Dog

so many things
in the topics
we need to talk of
some that lay quietly
at our feet
behaving oh so well
lap dogs of thoughts
sitting nervously by
jumping upon us
to be told
to get down
fidgeting for a turn
just to wag
it’s feisty tail

and we go on
blindly scratching
at the heads
of the behaved
and the non-behaved
actions of
our conversation
with hope to be
thrown a bone
or continue barking
loudly out our
own information

lap dogs of thoughts

Helen I like this phrase...I am a forever questioner of thoughts...I would be pushed off someones lap..and have, as a matter of fact *s

BRAVO!!! Wow, I just love the way you see the world through your eyes, sweet friend, this is an outstanding metaphor of realization! Sometimes there are thoughts that are just itching to be overlooked, and to comfort this kind of "puppy", we must play around with it to satisfy both its and our needs! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
