before dawn
along mineral ridge
behind wolf lodge
the spirits of warriors
hunt the white tail
and wild turkeybefore dawn

wild turkey

red eyes
of old one
searches darkness
tracking silent steps,
muledeer, bear
footprintless leads

pale skined
we follow
breathless we run
ghosts in night colors
between fur soldiers
that sleep standing

morning's eagle cry
circles sound
opens sky
daylight permitted
to be our guide
the old one

invisible now

My editorial mind took out all of the articles, leaving the bare essentials behind...I know you do not ask for a critique, but if you someday did so...it makes an astounding read that much more breathless....thank you for this....
