Emblazoned on her chest were the words
"meat, I am here  for you my sweet"
at least in my mind
that is what I saw

My mother once told me
that with all peaks there
must always be some valleys
inside my head she was

So as she claws helplessly at my face
I can understand her facial regret
as right now I feel I am peaking
leaving her face down in a ditch
(been reading to many sick novels sorry)

James,
are you in the manic phase? I would imagine so with the words you have penned. I'd say don't worry be happy but it sounds as if you already are

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
