She is the sun in burn, her cheeks like ripe apples, people move towards her for her fragrance is energy, a youth that jumps rope on the playground and sings because it feels good, she. She laughs at the hard line that runs down the street for she has always seen curves and when the black top covers the weeds with time she finds the crack where one small johnny has jumped up. She is also smooth in black with a leak of pale soft sliding down below her neck and in the jewel of her ear she hears the beat of beguile playing across the hardwood dance floor, she knows that the hour glass of her traps eyes and that in the dimension where travel is free there is what she knows is bliss. She has cried too many times for the loss of dignity for the damage of appetite and the frailty of skin, with such hard touch she has learned compassion, she has loved and cared enough to build a monument that stands in a place in her heart called mourning and the curtain there cannot be drawn. As spring folds over her youth and turns her towards reverence, she finds an intricate pattern wears her well-being and it is woven with colored thread, made with an eyelash soft and fluttered against her breast that opens awareness more than skin inside a place that she sees with indigo eyes. She is these things entwined with pieces of her cherish, ways of seaweed, tangled salt of skin with ocean taste and dirt crusted nails holding the beginning of time and touching it to the root of growing where she will always be. She is. |

Martie! Once again you pick me up in your swirl of words and wisk me off to introduce me to this woman of intrigue, optimism and compassion. Oh how I wish I could write like this...perhaps in time....just perhaps. Hugs. |

the hourglass of her traps eyes... Martie, how do you do that? You make it look so simple and yet I could ponder for a lifetime and not come up with the lines you do....you are an amazing poet.. |

she finds the crack where one small johnny has jumped up. I could copy line after line of this poem... but I'd have to copy the entire thing at least 100 times to even begin to give each wonderful image its due. So I'll save all that space on the server and simply say... this gave me chills... every hair on my arms is standing in salute. *S* |

And you my dear friend are definitely "THE RAINBOW"!!!!!!! I can't even begin to tell you the pleasure I have in being able to read your words again though it is only for this one day for now. Superb as always and filled with the measures of depth in thought that make us all take a moment to cherish the trails that your mind take us on. |
